Army Bases in the US

Out of all the branches of the U.S. military, The United States Army is the one which is most popular and is responsible for all land based military operations. The army is one of the oldest and largest established branches on the U.S. military and had its roots in the Continental Army. On 14 June 1784, the U.S. Congress formed the U.S. army to aid, help and assist its citizens.

Although there are many U.S. army bases located in America, there are also some present in overseas countries like Bulgaria, Germany, Italy and Japan among others. These camps have been designed to provide the basic training that would help develop the physical and mental fitness that anyone joining the army would require. At such bases, one gets to sign up and become a trainee in the army and undergo the required physical training and conditioning.

Currently, there are 59 U.S. Army military bases located within America which are administered by the Department of the Army. Some of the more popular base destinations are Fort Huachuca, Fort Belvoir and Fort Irwin. By using various online army base directory resources for searching, one comes to know not only the locations of these bases, but also the core values of the army which are loyalty, honor, integrity, duty, respect, selfless service and personal courage.
